Running for Boston

There is no light to be shed on the events that occurred yesterday. There will be no “piece of mind”. There are bad people in this world, people filled with hate and darkness that we will never understand. I am surrounded by good people. I count my blessing that I am surrounded by them. People that believe in kindness, in love, in families, in community, in courage, in laughter, in heroes, in empathy, in innocence.  Moments like these redefine our feelings of love for those people.  If we can take anything away from such tragic events, I hope it is to be mindful of others, show kindness toward people at all times.  So the good can continue to out number the bad.

“You must not lose faith in humanity. Humanity is like an ocean; if a few drops of the ocean are dirty, the ocean does not become dirty.” – Gandhi.

I encourage you all to take a run in honor of every person affected in yesterday’s tragedy. KFIT will continue to run for Boston.
